Cool Writer Tool: WordKeeperAlpha

I was so excited when I stumbled upon this great tool for writers that I just had to share immediately. Seriously, I'm on a five minute Pomodoro writing break and am spending my time blogging about my new favorite tool: WordKeeperAlpha

Since I started self-publishing, I became obsessed with numbers. Sales numbers, sales income, and ESPECIALLY word counts because there would be no sales without an ever-growing word count. Last year, after I got into the habit of tracking word counts during NaNoWriMo 2013, I created a nifty little spreadsheet in Google Docs to track my word counts per day of writing in 2014 which included a sum of the word counts for each month and average word counts overall and per month. That document was my baby but I just didn't really want to create another spreadsheet this year.

This year, I don't have to create my own word count tracker because WordKeeperAlpha does it for me. And it has charts! And the ability to track which projects each entered word count is attributed to in case you're like me and have writing project ADD and are working on a novel and three short stories all at once. You can even create writing goals whether you've gt one time goal or want to make it a recurring habit.

OMG it's the best thing ever, right? I highly recommend joining if you're interested in keeping a record of your word counts.

I'm so glad I found this tool early on in the year. Exciting stuff!
